Spring is in the air as well as four free games available to PlayStation plus members this month! From battling in feudal Japan, racing for a top pole position, and exploring a Jurassic world where you can tame dinosaurs to obey your every command, there’s always a little something for everybody with these free games available to all PlayStation plus subscribers! If you haven’t subscribed to the PlayStation monthly service, do so and get in on the freebies that everyone who does gets to enjoy!
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends (PS4/PS5)
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is a co-op multiplayer game inspired by Japanese legends that gives the player a choice of four different classes: samurai, assassin, Ronan, or Hunter. Players take part in co-op battles against waves of enemies. A “rival mode” was introduced to the game where players are part of a two player team that takes on waves of enemies and earn Magatama. Magatama are traditional Japanese crescent shaped beads and act as the main currency in the game. Magatama can be used against your enemies as well as unlock items for the player to use and aide them in combat. Make sure you’re quick to pick up Magatama before it’s claimed by someone else!
Team Sonic Racing PS4
A Sonic the hedgehog themed racing game just makes sense! In Team Sonic Racing players can race against 4 friends or up to 12 others online! Players can choose from three different classes: speed, power, or technique, as well as unlock customizations for their vehicle to better suit their racing style. Players can also pick from 15 different characters to race with. What sets Team Sonic Racing apart from other kart racing games is that the player is part of a team and playing as a team is the best and only way to win the race. 4 teams of 3 racers compete against each other and share power ups through the coarse. The player to finish first isn’t necessarily going to win the race because points are based on how the entire team does, so it’s best to be a team player instead of a glory…hedgehog!
Ark: Survival evolved PS4
Ark Survival Evolved is an open world action adventure game that puts players on a Jurassic island filled with danger! Players need to combat dinosaurs as well as environmental hazards to survive. The player can move around on foot as well as tame creatures to ride. Almost all of the creatures in ark can be tamed, however they all require some sort of technique and must be knocked out in order to be tamed. The player can tame creatures by using crafted narcotics from berries, eggs, spoiled meat, and other ingredients or hit them with a club. All of the creatures in the game can be used to store items and for offenses and defensive purposes. Players are also able to join others online in tribes for multiplayer combat against NPC enemies.
Ghostrunner PS5
Ghost Runner is a first person perspective slasher game that takes place in a post apocalyptic cyberpunk world! The player has to make their way up one of the last human strongholds that mankind has, Dharma tower, which is ruled by a nefarious tyrant, Mara the Keymasyer. The Keyaster is using their power to make life difficult for those last remaining humans left on earth.
Armed with a cyber-punk katana and superhuman reflexes, the combat in this game is fast paced and action packed! Learn different techniques and strategies on your path up the tower to bring Justice to the Keymaster. A uniquely designed and visually pleasing game for the single player in your life!
