“Lana…Lana…LAAANNNNAAAAA!!!” “What?!” “DANGER PHONE!!”
(Que intro music)
If you’re a fan of the popular FX animated comedy “Archer” you just heard that in your head as your read it. If you’ve always wanted to take part in ISIS (that’s International Secret Intelligence Service not Islamic State) shenanigans but lack the luck of the worlds best secret super Agent, Sterling Archer, now’s your chance to get into the “Danger Zone!” With the official Archer game aptly named: “Danger Phone”
What’s the story behind “Archer: Danger Phone”?
The user gets to play through a series of unique storylines created just for the Danger Phone game. Krigger, everyone’s favorite mad scientist, is trying to get in on the cryptocurrency craze with his own line of Kriggerrands. Of course simply dominating the market isn’t going to be enough for the possible clone of an evil madman murderer. Krigger, and his holographic anime bride, have set in motion plans to dominate the world crypto market by using his “Danger Phone” to gain influencers and holographic clones of the ISIS agents to control the cryptomarket with his Kriggerands.
Each holographic “scenario” is based on a particular part of the Isis infrastructure like the armory, briefing room, break room, etc. Each of these scenarios has their own specific agent, sometimes two or more, needed to properly simulate the scenario. These agents are separated into Epic, Rare, and Common categories.
Rodney, for instance, is in charge of the armory as the “weapons librarian”, Cheryl or Carol along with her ocelot Babou can be found in the break room once the player has unlocked their cards. In each scenario the player must invest money earned into purchasing influencers that will help promote and push Kriggers cryptocurrency.
Do I have to be actively logged in to play “Danger Phone”?
Players will continue to earn money, even when not in game, as long as their simulation is automated. Automation can be achieved by reaching the prerequisite for the scenario, usually Agent level and cash amount. Once the player logs back into the game they will be given a notice of how much they earned and how long they’ve been away.
What do the letters Next to the cash amount mean in “Archer: Danger Phone”?
As cash stacks up, Krigger has had to invent his own system for counting it and, as expected, can get confusing. Here is a sort of simple guide to help players understand the breakdown:

The following are just the beginning ISIS Scenarios and their agents. Scenarios and agents can be permanently upgraded with both cocktails and money. There are even more scenarios, enemies, and agent aliases to collect!
- Mallory’s office: Archer, Lana, Mallory
- Break room: Cheryl, Babou.
- Situation room: Gillette, Bilbo.
- kriggers lab: Kriegger, Anime Bride
- Cyril’s office: Cyril, Julianna, Trinette
- Garage Fight Ring: Pam, Noah, Conway Item needed to upgrade:
- The Mainframe: Barry,Katya, Spelvin Item needed to upgrade:

As players reach milestone levels of influencers they are given a “influencer prizes” that they can collect by tapping on the small present icon on the lower part of the influencer box. These prizes can have cocktail cards as well as upgrade cards for characters, items, and scenarios.
What is the currency and microtransactions like In Archer Danger Phone?
Players can earn a “timer prize case” Every 4 hours which holds upgrade cards and cocktails. Players can spend Kriggerands to buy gold and epic cases. Players can purchase bonus cocktail and krigerrand packs for real world money, anywhere from .99 up to $99.99. The game does offer several limited time special offers for discounted items.
Players can choose to multiply the cash yield earned from scenarios by watching paid advertisements. Players can also earn additional “free” cocktail cards by Tapping Piggly or Brett when they appear in game, after watching a short paid advertisement, of course.
Periodically, a small icon with opposite facing arrows will appear in Mallory’s office. If the player taps this icon they will be given a trade offer for items they have in their inventory for items they might need. Players should consider the rarity of the items being offered before choosing to accept of decline the offer.
The game is broken into episodic stages known as “Operations”. Every operation has a set of goals that the players must achieve like reaching a specific number of influencers in a scenario, upgrading a character, or upgrading a scenario. I recommend before ending an operation that players max out the amount of influencers the scenario has available in order to collect the most amount of influencer prizes. These prizes have permanent upgrade cards and cocktails which are valuable and one of the main currencies in the game aside from Krigerrands. At the end of every operation the influencers and money will reset but the upgrades to all other items, scenarios, and characters remain.
At the end of the operation the player will enter into the shoot out phase of the operation. The shoot out phase is where the player controls Archer as he defends the Isis office from invading attacks of Yakuzi, Oden Spies, or practice dummies. The player has to tap on the enemy avatar to get Archer to shoot. After a few enemies have been eliminated a boss enemy will spawn which requires a lot of rapid tapping to defeat. The higher level Archer the player has the more damage he will do in the shootout phase.
The more enemies Archer shoots the better the prizes the player will get.
Are there any Special events in Archer:Danger Phone?
Yes! There are special themed limited time events happening all of the time in Archer:Danger Phone. The current event running at the time that of this writing is based on the episode where the air conditioner in the ISIS office breaks down and it’s freezing the agents inside. These events have their own unique storylines as well as prizes that can be earned and used in the main game once the story ends. The gameplay is still the same but the Kriggerands are switched out for a themed currency.
My Overall review of Archer: Danger Phone?
The game does have some technical issues, which the devs acknowledge and work to fix as soon as possible, however, I highly recommend that players click on the settings button which is in the top left corner of the screen to link their game. Players can link their Facebook, Apple, or email address to their account in order to save their games in case they need to delete the app and reinstall it.
Archer: Danger Phone is definitely a game for the hardcore Archer fan. Somebody who has never seen any of the episodes might not get the humor behind some of the tongue-in-cheek dialogue and inside jokes that the game is packed with. As for those of us who have been long-time Archer fans and constantly quote the show, you’re really gonna love Danger Phone. The details really make this game stand out from similar type games. The soundtrack of the familiar theme song playing at the start of every operation, the glowing pig, accidentally shooting Brett to gain a bonus, and the animated cutscenes, although not voiced, still have the same quick wit and crass humor that have made us love Archer. Be sure you’re ready to step into the Danger zone with “Danger Phone!!!”
