Godfall Challenger Edition:
Godfall was just released for the Playstation in August of this year so it made me a little suspiscious to the reason “why” the game is “free” so soon after it’s initial release. It didn’t take long to find out why it’s free, it isn’t the full version of the game! This Godfall is tagged as a ”Challanger” version of Godfall whch means it skips the main storyline of the game and gives players the chance to get into the endgame with maxed out characters and items. If you want the full Godfall experience, you’re going to have to put up some money to get the Deluxe version.
The Game does look visually impressive. Imagine if anime had a baby with Lord of the Rings…then that’s what you’re looking at with Godfall!
The decision to give away this hybrid version of the game has already met with some backlash online from Plus members who feel that they are getting short changed by getting a “Demo” and two games instead of 3 full games.
Mortal Shell
Mortal Shell is a dark RPG where the player is “An empty vessel” known as the Foundling who is commanded by the “Dark Father” to venture forth and rip glands and take over the bodies of the undead. As the player takes over warriors, known as shells, the Foundling unlocks their skills and attributes. The Foundling only has 1 hit before they die so finding shells makes the game a lot easier. NPC’s have different dialogue with the player depending on if they are in a shell or not.
This isn’t some Dark Souls Button masher, players have to use a bit of skill when it comes to the combat system in Mortal Shell. The fighting style and choices the player makes can tip the scales of battle in their favor or lead to yet another death. The game fighting system feels similar to the fighting system in God of War or the Assassins Creed games.
LEGO DC Super Villains
If you’re a little on the lighter side of gaming or have children ages 6-29 then you’re going to want to make sure to download Lego:DC Villans for your gaming pleasure. These Lego games are always good for a few laughs! Lego DC Villans is the award winning follow up in the successful Lego video game franchise and the fourth Lego game in the Batman Lego lineup that puts the player in the shoes of their very own supervillian! This is the first Lego Video game that lets the player create their own character that is integrated into the storyline. As the player progresses in the game they are able to unlock customizations and powers for their anti-hero.
Lego DC Villains has a season pass that gives players access to new levels based on former DC Movies like Aquaman and Shazam! The season pass also comes with character packs from DC Fan favorite shows and comics.
The players start the game off as “The Rookie”, a villain with the unique super power of absorbing other powers. Sentenced to Stryker’s Island, the Rookie manages to escape with Lex Luthor who discovers that the Justice League seems to be missing but has been “temporarily” replaced with the Justine Syndicate, or so they claim. It’s up to the Rookie and his new evil pals to uncover what’s really going on and what happened to the real justice league.
PSVR titles Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, The Persistence, and Until You Fall are still available for another month in celebration of the 5-year anniversary of the PSVR System
