Master Kush the warrior kitty is a Kahjit from the desert lands of Elsweyr. One afternoon while hunting desert rodents for an evening stew he took a tumble down a hill and was knocked unconscious. It was his bad luck to be picked up by a group of Stormcloak scouts who had let one of their prisoners escape. They shacked Master Kush and threw him in their prisoner cart, hoping their Captain wouldn’t notice the discrepancy in the prisoner manifest.
This is the journal of Master Kush’s adventures in Skyrim.
Day 1
Golden Claw and a double cross!
I went back to Riverdale where a man asked me to get him a golden claw, I’m a cat so I like shiny things. It was in a local barrow.
There were some undead things in there I didn’t really appreciate, the man could have earned me! I’m a scary cat sometimes! fire works well against the dead!
I found a dark elf trapped in spider webs. He told me he knew where I could find the claw if I let him go. I did, but He lied and made a run for it. The undead things got him, I didn’t try to help. After he was dead and I avenged him, I looted his body, he had the claw this whole time. I didn’t feel bad about letting him die, I pressed on with the claw. He would have wanted it that way, Dirty dark elf. The claw had some markings on it that helped me open a large vault. Loot and treasures were found!
Day 2
Do I have Dragonbreath?
I hired Janessa, the dark elf I met in a bar, as a companion, she wasn’t very good and died. 500 gold down the drain!
A dragon appeared in our town, I killed the dragon and absorbed it’s soul or something. It tickled a little but I got a new power of “shouting” in some weird language that I’ve never heard before but now can suddenly speak. Someone said it’s dragon tongue…
The guards were arguing with each other as to whether or not it was real even though I was standing right in front of them and they had seen it happen. Humans.
Day 3
Voices in my head!
I went back to Raven Wood to see Sven about the letter I delivered for him. He sang me the song of Ragnar the Red, a bloody tale about a battle and we all danced.
Strange thing happened. I heard a voice on the wind. It was calling me. It’s rumored to be an ancient group called the graybeards. They live in High Hrothgar.
Day 4
Delusions of Grandeur
I returned to Whiterun to meet with the Jarl. He was very grateful for my help in slaying the Dragon that he Made me Thane of Whiterun and
I was given Lydia, a housecarl, to serve as my personal guard.
I joined the companions, a group of mercenaries for hire with no leader. They literally jumped me in…gang style. They gave me my own a sleeping quarters. They already gave me some work. Just a little intimidation gig…Gotta love unions!!
Day 5
Off to see the Wizard…
I made it to Ivrstafd at the base of High Hrothgar. A place called the 7000 stairs…? I hope that’s not accurate, Kitty hates exercise! On my way up the steps I met a traveler who was meditating near a dragon shrine, Karita. If it wasn’t for her I would have perished. She gave her life for me in fighting against a very aggressive ice troll.
The Graybeards taught me how to use my Th’ume, which is a dragon shout. They taught me new words to use, including how to run really fast, Cats like to go fast!
Day 6
A Scooby-Doo mystery
The innkeeper asked me to investigate a haunted borough near here… Once I did I discovered that it was a classic Scooby Doo scenario. A guy that was pretending to be a ghost while he looked for treasure, another claw of some sort. I went back and told the innkeeper. She was so happy to hear that they weren’t haunted and he gave me the very claw that the trickster was looking for. The idiot spent years searching and pretending to be a ghost! If only he took the time to talk to the innkeeper, he might still be alive!
The claw opened a door that led to a place that was actually haunted and full of Draugrs, dead things that fight like warriors.
It was a scary experience but it led me to a new dragon word.
Day 7 Solitude is a Rough Town.
I got to solitude were the first thing on the menu what is a beheading of a guard who let somebody escape, Ulfric. Ulfric, the king slayer, apparently assassinated their king with a shout. He’s not liked at all around here.
I was here to join the legion… I met up with some of the people who had sentenced me to death. Luckily they were pretty nonchalant about the whole thing and still allowed me to join the army… mighty big of them…all they wanted me to do was to take down a brigand fort on my own! Are these guys for real? Anyhow, I did that, thanks to my Thu’um, I was able to handle the task. Apparently I was being watched because someone sent me a letter asking the Dragonborn to meet them. We need a hero they say. General Tullius swore me in to the Legion. They gave me some armor…I hope this isn’t their answer to health insurance.
